BCCI has announced the list of players to go under hammer in the IPL 2025 mega auction set to take place in Jeddah on November 24 and 25.

Shreyas Iyer, who led the Kolkata Knight Riders to victory in IPL 2024, has been released by the franchise. Despite winning the title, Iyer, along with other key players, will not be retained. This makes him the first IPL-winning captain to be let go by his team after a title win.

Pant, Iyer, Rahul, and Shami were all released by their respective franchises before the October 31st deadline.
